Welcome to Practice Nurse Online


The aim of the Practice Nurse Program is to support and enhance the vital role that nurses play within the general practice team.

GP Partners Adelaide's Practice Nurse Program has two main components:
  • “Practice Nurse Network Meetings” to support, network and provide professional development for Practice Nurses currently employed;
  • The “GP Plus Practice Nurse Initiative” involves the provision of funding to Divisions of General Practice to employ practice nurses.
The Divisions will recruit, train and orientate practice nurses for general practices. This will assist the practice to understand the role of a practice nurse and after a 20 week placement the practice can directly employ the Practice Nurse.

The General Practice team has access to telephone, email, or face to face visits for any Practice Nurse issues. Practice Nurses have access to Professional Development events, the monthly network meetings that are specific to practice nursing as well opportunities to attend General Practitioner CPD events.
